Getting a suit made on a short Bangkok trip
Three days in Bangkok is enough for a made-to-measure suit — the honest timeline, what express changes, and what to book before you land.
Before you arrive
Message before you land
Send your dates on WhatsApp before you arrive and we'll have cloth options ready. That's often the difference between collecting your suit and running out of time.
Send your dates, what you want, and a photograph of a jacket you already own that fits you well. We can have appropriate cloth pulled and waiting, which routinely saves an hour on the first visit.
It also lets us tell you honestly, before you have spent any time on it, whether your window works. If it does not, we would rather say so than take the order.
Planning the trip
Plan the first day
The sooner you come in, the more we can do. Arrive early in your trip, get measured, and we map the fittings around your remaining days — including same-day when the clock is tight.
Find us fast
We're on the 4th floor of Platinum Fashion Mall, Shop 936, a short walk from BTS Ratchathewi and the Airport Rail Link at Ratchaprarop — easy to reach from most hotels.
A workable three-day plan
Day one, morning: come in. Not the afternoon, and certainly not day three. Measuring takes about an hour and everything downstream depends on it happening early.
Day one, evening or day two: shirts can be ready. If you ordered more than one, we check the first before cutting the rest — that one extra step is the difference between four good shirts and four identical mistakes.
Day two: suit fitting. Corrections marked on the body and taken back.
Day three: collection, with the margin to fix anything that is still not right.
Compress that to two days and something has to give. Compress it to one and it is the fitting — which is the whole point of having a suit made.
If the trip is short
What to prioritise if the trip is short
Shirts first. Fast, high-impact, and they show you the fit standard before you commit to a suit. Trousers second — quick and genuinely hard to buy well off the peg. The suit last, and if it does not fit the window, get measured anyway and order it from home. Your pattern is kept.
Being inside Platinum Fashion Mall helps here: alterations can be dropped off and collected two hours later while you eat and shop, and we are open until 8 PM, so an evening appointment after a day of meetings is normal.
The stopover route
The Airport Rail Link runs to Ratchaprarop, five minutes from us. Clients with a long layover come in from the airport, get measured, and collect on a return leg weeks later — see getting here by rail. It is a considerably faster trip than a taxi through Phetchaburi Road traffic.
Where this leads
If you have read this far you are past the research stage. See same day express tailoring, or book a fitting and ask the rest in person at the atelier in Pratunam.
✂ Book a fittingI only have two days in Bangkok — is that enough for a suit?
Yes — two days is often enough, provided you come in on the day you arrive rather than the day before you leave. Two days is enough for many garments in stocked cloth with a focused fitting schedule, and shirts are more achievable still. A fully canvassed three-piece in a special-order fabric is the hardest case. Tell us your departure time at the first appointment and we will say plainly what fits rather than what sounds good.
What should I bring to the first appointment?
You should bring your departure date, the shoes you will wear with the suit, and a clear idea of the occasion. Trouser length is set from the shoe, so a two-centimetre difference in heel height is the most common reason a hem comes out wrong and a fitting gets repeated. On a compressed Bangkok schedule, a repeated fitting is a day you do not get back.
Is it worth ordering a suit on a layover?
It can be, particularly from Suvarnabhumi via the Airport Rail Link to Ratchaprarop, which puts you a short walk from Pratunam without touching the expressway traffic. Whether a garment can be completed depends entirely on the window and what you want made — shirts and alterations are far more achievable than a canvassed suit. Message G.Armani Suit ahead with your flight times and we will answer honestly — we are on the 4th floor of Platinum Fashion Mall in Pratunam, Bangkok.
